How does the HAMILTON Lottery work?

You can enter the HAMILTON Lottery exclusively on the TodayTix mobile app (available on the App Store and Google Play Store). Guests can enter for the chance to purchase exclusive $10 tickets beginning each Friday at 12:01AM, winners are selected the following Thursday starting at 1:00 PM. Winners will be notified between 1:00 PM and 6:00 PM the same day and will have the opportunity to purchase tickets for performances taking place the following week (Tuesday - Sunday).

How much are tickets purchased through The HAMILTON Lottery?

Winners pay $10 per guest.

How can I change my lottery entry?

If you need to update your entry name or email address before the drawing begins, you can do so by navigating to "My Orders," locating your lottery entry, and selecting "Options." This menu will be available until just before the lottery begins selecting winners. Once the lottery begins selecting winners on Thursday at 1:00 PM, we are unable to modify entries in any way. This includes changing the name, phone number, email address, number of tickets, or dates entered. We, unfortunately, cannot edit the number of tickets associated with your entry to protect the integrity of the lottery.

Where are seats purchased through the HAMILTON Lottery located in the Sydney Lyric?

Seating is assigned directly by the box office and can be located anywhere in the theatre. Seating is not first-come, first-served; the box office will assign your seats after the lottery has completed. Please note that lottery seats may not be sat together.

I've entered the lottery, but will have accessible seating requirements should I win the chance to purchase these tickets.

We're here to help with your accessibility requests and pass on any relevant information to the box office on your behalf. If you've won the chance to purchase lottery tickets and have completed the checkout process, please contact us by using the "Submit a Ticket" button above no later than one hour after completing checkout to detail how we can assist. If you or your guest are a Companion Card holder, please complete checkout for two lottery tickets and immediately contact us with your Companion Card number to learn about how you will be reimbursed.

Can I give my HAMILTON Lottery tickets to someone else?

Tickets purchased as part of the HAMILTON Lottery are non-transferrable and cannot be returned, exchanged, or resold. The contact information must match a photo ID of the listed purchaser. Photo ID matching the pick-up name must be presented at will call to collect your tickets.

How do I know if I won?

We'll send you an email if you're a winner! You can also always check to see the status of your entry by navigating to the "My Orders" section of your account, which shows your status in real time.

What happens if I'm not selected as a winner?

We encourage you to enter for future! You can always set an alert to be reminded when the lottery will begin accepting entries again. Click here to learn more about Alert Me Notifications.

My time to claim winning HAMILTON Lottery tickets expired, what do I do?

If your time to claim has expired, our lottery system will automatically choose another winner. However, this will not affect your chances for winning in the future, so we encourage you to keep entering!

Where is the theatre?

The Sydney Lyric Theatre is located at 55 Pirrama Road, Pyrmont NSW 2009 Australia.

I won and purchased my HAMILTON Lottery tickets, how and when do I pick them up?

Tickets will be available for collection from the Sydney Lyric box office beginning two hours prior to the performance. 

Tickets are non-transferable and cannot be returned or exchanged. Photo ID matching your pick-up name designated at checkout is required to collect your tickets without exception. We appreciate your cooperation.

How does Covid-19 impact my booking?

The Sydney Lyric is a COVID-Safe venue. All guests are required to follow any health and safety directions while at the venue. Please see the measures outlined in the venue COVID Safe Planincluding wearing masks inside the theatre. Guests will check-in by scanning a QR code with your phone for contact tracing purposes as required by Government regulations.

For the smoothest entry, the Sydney Lyric Theatre recommends downloading the latest version of the Service NSW App prior to your arrival. Scanning your in-app QR code will assist with contact tracing.
